The Covington FFA chapter attended the West Tennessee Awards banquet on Tuesday, April 9, 2002.  Members in attendance were Clint Walton, Chris Brown, Jay Armstrong, Emily Davis, Evelyn Jones, Rebecca Grear, Brittany Brown, Dale Smith, Clint Watkins, Jeremy Armstrong, Stephanie Smith, Chris Harper, and Brad Trusty.  Advisors attending were Bryan Cole, Ted Turner, and Jill Farlow.  Mrs. Caroline Turner was a special guest.  Watkins and Armstrong received awards for winning their specialized proficiency areas.  Brittany Brown received an award for placing third in the West TN creed competition.  The chapter received the following awards: Leadership Division- 8th Place; Instructional Division-6th place; SAE Division-7th place; District winner plaques in Soil Judging and Nursery.  The chapter also received an award in the Championship Division, ranking 5th overall in West TN.
