Extemporaneous Public Speaking Students are given 30 minutes to prepare for a speech on three of the agricultural topics.  At the conclusion of the speech students must answer questions related to their speech.  This CDE develops great public speaking skills for use in debate and meetings. Prepared Public Speaking Students are required to write a 6-8 minute speech in front of a panel of judges.  Scoring is based on written manuscript, the delivery of the speech and answers to the questions. This CDE develops public speaking skills for use in meetings and organized functions. Job Interview Students must demonstrate the skills needed when seeking employment in an agricultural field.  Participants must provide resume, complete job application, interviewed via telephone and one on one panel style.  This CDE provides awareness of what is expected in a real Job Interview. Creed Speaking This event is for 7th, 8th, and 9th grade FFA members only.  It is designed to recognize outstanding FFA members for their ability to present the FFA Creed from memory and answer questions on the meaning and the purpose of FFA Creed. 2nd in District; 3rd in West TN
